What are they?
Worship-Getting Close to God
- The Hebrew word for sacrifice is Korban – קוֹרבָּן, which is also related to the English word for coming closer. Sacrifices were the way ancient people worshiped God. How do you think worship is connected to drawing closer and also to sacrifices?
- Why would there be rules about how the High Priests dress, when they offer sacrifices? How would the way we dress connect to how we worship?
Kashrut
- What are the rules about what we can and cannot eat? Why would we have them?
- Blood is associated with life. We are also forbidden to consume it. Any meat we eat has to have blood removed from it. Why do you think this is so?
