  1. You have a friend who isn’t Jewish. Pick two holidays and explain them to her.
  2. You are walking on the side of the road and you see one of your teachers blow through a red light. Does that make you think about your teacher differently?
  3. Your brother is caught cheating on a test. How does that make you feel? How do you think that would make your family feel?

What Does This Parshah Mean to Me?

  1. What is your favorite holiday? Why?
  2. The priests had special rules that they needed to follow. Do you think this is fair? Why or why not?
  3. Think of our leaders? How do we expect them to behave?
  4. Look at the different descriptions of the holidays in the portion. What things do they have in common?
  5. Why do you think we are commanded to not reap all of our crops when we pick them? Why do you think this commandment is made during the description of Sukkot?
