Behar
Summary
On the mountain of Sinai, G‑d speaks to Moses about the laws of the Sabbatical year: every seventh year, all work on the land should stop, and its produce becomes available for all. Seven Sabbatical cycles are followed by a fiftieth year known as the Jubilee year, on which work on the land stops, and all servants are set free. Behar also contains additional laws about the sale of land.
