Summary

Moses described the rituals they were to perform once the Israelites crossed the Jordan. Half the people were to stand on one mountain, reciting blessings they would receive if they obeyed G-d’s  laws: the other  half were to stand on the opposite mountain, reciting the curses if they disobeyed G-d’s laws. Moses presented these blessings and curses so they would never forget that they always have choices.
