Moses reminded the people of their duties to G-d and of their chosenness. He repeated the tragic incident of the Golden Calf and its consequences. He reminded them of their responsibilities to care for the weak and helpless people among them. Finally, he warned them of the curses that could happen if they disobeyed G-d’s laws, and of the blessings they would receive if they followed them.
