  1. What family stories do you remember?

  1. The word for charity in Hebrew is Tzedakah.  It is related to the word “justice”. How is charity just?
  2. What are different ways of giving charity?
  3. Watch this video of the different ways of giving tzedakah. Do you agree with this order?  How would you rank the different ways of giving charity?

Covenant-relationship with God

  1. What’s a covenant? How is it like a relationship?
  2. What covenants do you have in your life?
  3. What do you do to make sure these covenants are not broken?

Justice

  1. Look up the word “justice”. Then look up the word “fairness”. How are they the same?  How are they different?
  2. Have you ever heard of the phrase “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”? It is from the Torah, and is connected to the idea that the punishment should fit the crime.  Do you think justice is all punishment, or is there something more to it?
